Rental Policies

Rates

Published rates are based on standard occupancy and indicated in white on the property calendars. rates do not include an 11.5% percent City of Palm Springs room tax, are in U.S. dollars, and are subject to change without notice. Higher Rates do apply during Holiday Periods and during Special Events such as the Coachella Festival.

Payment Schedule

In most reservations 50% of your total payment is due when you sign your contract with Oasis Rentals. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your arrival at the property. In complex long term reservation payment arrangements may be made by contacting Oasis Rental directly.

Cancellation of Rental

Cancellation policy may vary based on the individual property or over Holiday and Special Events dates.  Optional Trip Cancellation Fee (OTC) is available for purchase. OTC fee is 6% of the total rental amount at time of booking. If you purchase the OTC you may cancel your reservation up to 5 days prior to your arrival / check in date and receive a full refund of all fees paid (Not including OTC) minus $100 or additonal 8% of the total reservation amount, whichever is greater. Section 12 shall not apply if trip Cancellation has been paid. OTC must be purchased at time of booking prior to return of the rental contract and confirmation of your reservation. It cannot be added retroactively. 

Payment Options

Payments are accepted in US Dollars only and per your rental contract. We encourage payment via a direct deposit, wire transfer, personal check or money order. We also accept all major credit cards with an additional 3.5% processing fee. Damage deposit amount cannot be paid using a credit card and must be paid using a direct deposit, personal check, or wire transfer. 

Minimum Stay

The minimum length of stay varies based on the property. Typically we request a 3-night minimum stay unless stated otherwise. Over special event or holiday dates a higher minimum stay may apply. We do not currently offer a 2 night stay. Yhere are exceptions to this such as booking for dates only available for a 2 night period between two other reservation, Please contract us directly for these rair exceptions.

Weddings and Special Events

Some of our properties can accommodate events with up to 500 people and are regularly booked for weddings and other special occasions. Please call to inquire about renting a property for your special event. An event fee normally applies. Events are only approved with written consent and authorization. Unauthorized parties or gatherings are not permitted at any time. 

Check-In/Out

Normal check-in is 3 PM. Check-in prior or after these hours must be arranged in advance. Normal check-out is by 10 AM. You may check-in early or check-out late with an extra fee, when possible.

Occupancy Policies

Renters must be of 25 years of age to rent one of our properties. Each property has a maximum occupancy listed in the property description and in the rental contract. Unauthorized guests at the property will result in the loss of the entire security deposit, and all guests will be evicted. Guests conducting illegal activity at the property or disturbing the peace and quiet of neighbors will be evicted with no refund. 

Noise and Music

The cities thoughout the Coachella Valley have very strict codes governing vacation rentals properties in relations to noise and outside music. According to the city ordianance no amplified or outside music is permitted. Also there is a moretoriam on all outside noise after 10pm.

Please do not create noise or disturbances or engage in disorderly conduct. Consider how you would want your neighbors to behave in your own neighborhood. Chances are your Palm Springs neighbors will expect the same of you while you’re here. A little consideration goes a long way.

Outdoor Music in Cacation Rentals is not permitted by the city of Palm Springs. This is 24/7/365 So, please, don’t bring speakers outside, even if you think everyone will enjoy your excellent taste in music. This is a violation of the vacation rental ordiance and can result in fines, and possible eviction from the home.

A call from the neighbors to the city will bring the police or the vacation rental compliance patrols to your door. So please, keep the noise down. The police or vacation rental compliance patrol officers can issue you a citation if you violate the city’s noise ordinance.

The city monitors and patrols properties that are vacation rentals (as we are all registered with the city) looking for violations. There is a published public records report that goes out which highlights the violations and citations issued. 

We never want to end up on the naughty list, so we appreciate your adherence to all of the cities restrictions.

Adherance to the Vacation Rental ordiance will assure you have a enjoyable stay while visiting Palm Springs.

No Smoking

Smoking is not permitted inside. Smoking is permitted outside and ashtrays are provided. In the event smoking is detected inside the property the entire security deposit will be subject to forfeiture.

Internet, Cable TV and Phone

All homes/condos have cable television, wireless broadband internet and most properties have a digital phone with unlimited calling inside the US and Canada. Please inquiry about your specific property when making a reservation.

Utility Fees and Deposits

If staying in a home, or condo with its own private pool, for 28 days or more, the guest will be required to pay a utility deposit of at least  $1000.00. This deposit will be used to pay monthly gas and electric bills that combined, exceed $200.00 per month. This deposit must be replenished each month as it is used.

Pet Policies

Pets are welcome in most units. If you plan to bring a pet, please confirm what rentals will accept them. Extra deposit may be required.
 

Pool and SPA

Energy costs in Palm Springs are among the highest in the US. A surcharge of pool/spa heating usage applies for daily or weekly use; monthly rentals pay actual electric + gas usage minus an allowance. Pool heating must be ordered in advance as the average pool takes up to 48 hours to heat up to 86 degrees (Normally 80-86 degrees).  Pool Maximum termperature is set to 86 degrees  and should not be changed by tenant or guests. If pool heating is adjusted upward an excessive pool heat additional fee may apply.  Pools/spas are cleaned on a twice weekly schedule (by homeowner vendor) during your visit. We also make sure every home has a pool skimmer for occasional use by the renter.

Vacation Rental Ordinance Guidelines

Important Vacation Rental Regulations in Palm Springs -

MUSIC ‐ All music is prohibited outside at a Vacation Rental property at all times of the day (The City may issue a $500.00 citation and/or require eviction).

POOL ‐ Being in the pool is fun. Please keep voices and pool activities to a reasonable level as to not impact neighbors when occupying the Vacation Rental.

CONDUCT ‐ Creating any unlawful disturbance, engaging in disorderly conduct at the Vacation Rental property is prohibited.

NIGHT TIME ‐ At your discretion please consider moving indoors after 10pm to help preserve the quiet neighborhoods. If you choose to be outside, please be considerate of the neighbors and use indoor voices and do not exceed the established allowed levels. Our neighborhoods are very quiet at night. The City may issue a $500.00 citation if the noise level is recorded above allowed levels.

OCCUPANCY ‐ Please abide by the occupancy limits set in your reservation (Citation may be issued by City for violations).

PARKING ‐ Please utilize driveway and/or garage when parking your vehicle(s) before using street parking. There is a limitation on parking. Only one (1) vehicle per bedroom is allowed at any given time.
