We were originally hoping to stay at the Burton house but the house was withdrawn from the market upon our request. Oasis Rentals Management Company contacted us, offering us the Soronto Retreat. It turned out to be an extremely lovely and comfortable setting for our family group. We needed 4 bedrooms and had ample accommodation at this house, although one bedroom provides a pair of twin beds (also two kings and a queen in other rooms). Two and half baths , all well equipped and spacious, provided generally comfortable accommodation. The house is incredibly well equipped, nicely furnished in cheerful contemporary "Palm Beach" style, with everything in its place and perfectly labeled. The main social room includes a fireplace seating area, a larger living room with comfortable seating, a dining table for a miniumum of 8, a generous kitchen area with seating counter, supported by a full laundry and service room and the most spotless garage (with four bicycles) I have ever seen. The backyard is also quite lovely with a nice size pool (heated upon request for a weekly fee) and a wonderful hot tub (included). A large outdoor dining area with new grill and seating group with firepit, along with ample lounge areas complete the setting, with a nice view of the nearby mountain range. The house was immaculate and felt as though it had been recently redone and was so comforting, light-filled and spacious from our perspective. The property is just a five to seven minute drive from downtown Palm Springs, an hour from the west entrance to Joshua Tree and even closer to other hiking areas. My family reported that this was one of our most wonderful accommodations and we thank Oasis and the owners for our delightful experience.
